About
This project demonstrates a powerful, fully autonomous AI research assistant built in n8n. When you send a topic, the workflow first refines it into focused sub-queries, then deploys an intelligent AI agent equipped with real-time tools: Google Search, Wikipedia extracts, recent news via NewsAPI, and optional Google Scholar-style insights. The agent aggregates high-quality, up-to-date information, structures it into sections (introduction, summary, key findings, news highlights, scholarly insights, Wikipedia background, sources), generates clean HTML with styling, converts it to a professional PDF, and emails the report directly to you . It includes memory for consistent context and strict JSON output for reliability. The result is fast, citation-backed, beautifully presented research reports at scale — ideal for consultants, marketers, researchers, startups, students, or anyone needing quick, credible insights.
How it works:
The workflow runs on demand and follows this intelligent sequence:
Input Validation & Query Refiner — Takes your raw topic, uses OpenAI to generate exactly 5 targeted sub-queries that broaden coverage (applications, challenges, trends, case studies, etc.) and outputs structured JSON.
Research AI Agent (Core Brain) — Powered by GPT-4o-mini + memory buffer, the agent uses multiple tools in parallel:
Google Search for broad web results
Wikipedia API for foundational context & background
NewsAPI for the latest 2024–2025 articles & developments. It performs iterative searches, aggregates findings, and enforces a strict JSON structure with minimum item counts for each section.
Parse Research Output → Split Out → Aggregate — Cleans and combines the structured data.
Generate PDF HTML — Uses JavaScript to build a responsive, styled HTML document (cover page, sections, highlighted key findings, clickable sources, footer).
Convert HTML to PDF → Download PDF — Turns the HTML into a downloadable professional PDF file.
Send Research to Gmail (or Telegram) — Emails the PDF attachment to you with topic, date, and summary — or can notify via Telegram bot.
Key Features:
- AI-Powered Multi-Source Research — Combines real-time web search, Wikipedia background, latest news (2024–2025), and structured insights automatically
- Smart Query Expansion — Automatically generates 5 focused sub-queries to ensure comprehensive coverage (trends, challenges, applications, case studies, etc.)
- Structured, Consistent Reports — Always includes: Introduction, Summary, 8–12 Key Findings, 4–6 News Highlights, 4–6 Scholarly Insights, Wikipedia Summary, 8–12+ Sources
- Professional PDF Output — Beautiful HTML-to-PDF conversion with cover page, highlighted key points, clickable sources, responsive styling, and branding footer
- Delivery Automation — Sends completed PDF directly via Gmail
